Hobbies

Just for fun. Let’s talk about hobbies today. Before I go there, let’s talk about the different seasons of getting to this place or how things change. For example, in my youth sports were my life and my hobby obviously since it was just something I did. Over the course of time, I got married and had kiddos…my hobby became being a mom, not sure that is a hobby, but it was all of my time, well and being a wife, got to fit that in somewhere, lol. Well now that our kiddos are adults and self-sufficient, I have struggled to find hobbies, like for real. Shopping on amazon is apparently not a hobby, although I truly enjoy it, LOL! I literally go on there just to window shop or add to my cart and let it sit there to see if I really want it…not need it obviously, lol. So now I am searching for ideas to try. I started doing puzzles again, but I think that is seasonal when there is less to do outside, yardwork, etc. I am enjoying sitting down to just think while I search for the pieces that fit together. It allows me to process, pray, and have quiet time with the Father. Sometimes the I put on some old vinyls and I just truly enjoy the atmosphere. I’ve even seen a few of the kids sit down and do their own puzzle, sitting there spending time with mom as they get frustrated, lol, it’s fun…maybe not for them, but it is my entertainment I guess, lol.
