Just One

You can have everything, be in a position of influence, want for nothing, and the most important thing comes from a place of innocence, not of people’s approval, but setting all self aside to see the youth, our young succeed. Imagine that the hard work, the awards, the many opportunities mean very little in that moment when you see the youth you have invested in get an opportunity to be recognized, they have an opportunity that will encourage them beyond the place they thought possible and you cheer them on without thought, without a selfish desire, just to be in that moment, to see their faces, their demeaner change, knowing that this opportunity will set them on a path that will cause them to strive for greater. All you ever wanted was to influence, positively, one, just one, and you see that happen, that is the best feeling, that all of your work, sacrifice, struggle, all to lead to a place that made it all worth it because you saw just one hit a place that truly extends the hope, the dreams of possibilities, that things truly are reachable.
Imagine doing this as a person able to give a gift daily to influence right where we are with those around us. Being faithful over the ones we can impact is when our platforms change because we are no longer focusing on what we can do if we had more, but instead what we can do where we are without a thought of more. You become more influential when you invest as if this is the largest work you will ever do, and that is a work for the Lord regardless how many hear, but instead realizing how many have changed because of the impact you have had. Do it for the Father always, knowing that what we do will change that one.

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase” I Corinthians 3:6-7.
