Did you know there are many ways to get to the same location? Look out your window and contemplate the many different ways people can come to your house. I mean they can even circle the block an infinite number of times. Point being, that because you know one way, doesn’t make it the correct way, especially if we all arrive at the same conclusion. Do not be so full of yourself that you cannot see the different paths taken as relevant. Nor compare to you as if you’re the standard. It is time to step off that pedestal you placed yourself on and find true humility before the stack of old milk crates you created a pedestal out of is kicked out from under you. It is easier to humble yourself with correction than to be humiliated to a place of humility.
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” Romans 12:3.
“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” James 4:6.
“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble” 1 Peter 5:5.
