Honor the office at the very least…the office promotes reverence which extends to the person occupying of which honor should be received. By honoring the office at least redirects personal critiques and opinions. We quickly forget that God is the one who appoints, lifts/exalts. So, despising the leader or the individual occupying the office is ultimately judging God’s actions…not a good place to be. If God has not led you away, then it is your job to pray for the leadership, to serve them whole heartedly as unto Christ, trusting that they’re led of the Father. Humble yourself, and recognize the pride, the control you desire, the error in which you operate in. Proof? I Timothy 5:19 says, “Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses”. Unless you have two or three witnesses of the same accusation, you cannot come against an elder, a leader, but why? Because it holds us accountable that we are not operating in error and accusing someone that God has appointed falsely.
“Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer [is] worthy of his reward” I Timothy 5:17-18.
“His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” Matthew 25:21.
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” I Peter 5:6.
“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble” James 4:6.
“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble” I Peter 5:5.
