I sat outside on the steps going down into the backyard, enjoying the wind and coolness of the day. As I sat looking into our land watching the swaying trees, Nelly comes trotting toward me. She comes over and nudges me gently, as I pet her, she lays down next to me without any noise or fuss, just to be with me. As I lean back on her, we enjoyed a moment of peace and comfort that no one understands, but the Father. It’s amazing how the Father uses His creation to comfort us, to bring us peace in different ways when grief and life can be heavy, even if for a moment. The Father cares enough to use a pig to be so sweet, so gentle, and so peaceful…which seems to be so contrary to a pig’s nature, lol. Subtle reminders of how He cares, and how He will use whom and what He will to bring forth His desire. Thank You Father for Your continued comfort and love.
“[Thou], which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side. I will also praise thee with the psaltery, [even] thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel. My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt” Psalms 71:20-24.
“But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand [is] the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind” Job 12:7-10.
