Just Ask

We are currently in a season and process in which we are learning not to rely on our own thinking and our thinking we know the Father enough to speak for Him. We must move from that mindset and realize how sometimes we hit it spot on, but most of the time we do not. It is a time to ask the Father for each task, watch and see what happens. Recognize that the answers you get sometimes don’t make any rhyme or reason, to us, but to the Father it does. Just chop it up to being obedient, and don’t try to understand, as He is the one who holds it all and we trust Him.
For the past few months or so I had been asking the Father, as led, if I am to take my daily vitamins, each morning, and other tasks throughout the day, and I would get His answer, but right after His answer was another one. It typically was the opposite of the Father’s. I immediately went to the second answer being the enemy, so knowing if we resist him, he will leave. But day in and day out it continued. Then I began to vocally tell the enemy to leave and knew my authority in Christ that he had to obey. But again, it did not stop. Then I was processing the reality that the enemy cannot hear our thoughts, since I did not audibly ask the Father, but would hear Him and another, then it couldn’t be the enemy’s voice. So, who’s voice could it have been? The Father revealed to me that the second voice was my flesh answering. The Father allowed me to see that no matter how close, how much I trust, how much I do to decrease me so He can increase, there is so much further I need to go in order to know His answer. Not only was I learning instant obedience, but He showed me how my flesh could not answer for Him, could not even think it knows Him, and really is so unreliable to trust for anything really.
We need to recognize that we all are guilty of this, in the past it was acceptable to answer in love for the Father because we knew the word, etc. But the problem came in when folks relied on their own thought process, flesh, as if it were the Father’s answer when in fact it was not and became harmful to others. We are in a place where we need to ask the Father before doing anything, get used to this, and wait for His answer. We also need to be quiet unless He tells us to speak. If we are speaking in front of others and we do not have anything, then don’t try to push something, do not try to answer for the Father and especially do not call something the Father when you did not get the answer from Him. It is time to be obedient, seeking the Father fully for all things, and let Him lead and guide us no matter what. It is more about true authentic reverence. We said we reverenced the Father, but it was truly evident that we did not.

“And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; [but] the LORD [was] not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; [but] the LORD [was] not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; [but] the LORD [was] not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice” I Kings 19:11-12.
“And Samuel said, Hath the LORD [as great] delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than the fat of rams” I Samuel 15:22.
His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” Matthew 25:21.
“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment” Matthew 12:36.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad” II Corinthians 5:10.
For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?” I Peter 4:17.
“Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” Revelations 14:7.
“Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God [is] a consuming fire” Hebrews 12:28-29.
