Time for Change

We want to dig deeper into the Word, but we come with a mindset of stubbornness and rebellion that prevent us from even changing. Our lens filters everything through that to shift what we believe needs to be shifted which is external to us. Don’t believe me? Go read some of the Word, do you apply it to you immediately or do you apply it to others around you, to a circumstance of others, or even something in society? You can only answer this being honest with yourself.
The greatest issue with this, is that you are in a place where change cannot touch you. That in an unspoken action, you have said that you have nothing to change, but the world around you must shift for you. The idea that everything around you must maneuver its way around your perceptions, your feelings, and your thinking, even if they’re in error. This is a dangerous place to be.
If you say you want to change, then be about it. If you want change, then do it. How? Be honest with yourself and see the hard stuff. In fact, why is it you’re so adamant about a particular topic? What is your basis of it? In other words, what is the foundation in which you have chosen to mount up this fight upon? What part is built upon information provided by media? Other people’s accounts? Scientific proof? Laws, legislation, ordinances? What part of it included the Father’s guidance? What part included an answer and direction with instructions from the Father directly? What part are you calling God, that really isn’t? What part of the Word are you using to support your actions? How much of that did you study deeper or was it again projected through your lens for external change vs internal change? Yes, this should prick, it should sting, it should make up uneasy, maybe even make you frustrated or a little anger bubbling on the inside…it’s proof that what I am speaking has merit to it.
Apply the Word as the Word, not in part that fits our agendas, our feelings, or us erroneously dividing the Word to excuse parts of our actions and behaviors, for some form of justification. This is a dangerous area to be at. Change begins with us. We need to shift our mindsets so that the lens and filter we have is about changing us, not others. We can’t change anyone, the power we have is about changing us. Being willing to shift, being willing to receive what can be difficult to hear and see, being willing to challenge our ideals, being willing to be taught what and how before the why. We must be open to changing, which means our desire to please the Father must exceed all of our understanding, all of our feelings, all of our thoughts, all of our beliefs, all of our ideals, all of our agendas, all of our fight, all of ourselves. Be about the Father’s business, not yours.

“Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn [you] away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee” Deuteronomy 13:3-5.
“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these” Mark 12:29-31.
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” Matthew 22:37-40.
