How much do you love the Father? You love Him so much you teach your kids, your family, and friends about Him? You want to scream about Him? He is your everything? He’s all you need? Then why is it, that when you feel a certain way, typically anger from hurt, that you decide to “lose your religion” for a moment? You decide with a conscious choice that you will be doing what you will even though you know it is not what the Bible says, that the Father will forgive you…uhhh isn’t that the definition of rebellion? Let’s see. Rebellion is defined as opposition to one in authority; defiance; disobedience; frowardness; waywardness.
What about the scripture of ‘they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh’? Oh, but it doesn’t apply to you when you feel like that and “need” to compromise like that as if it’s holy and righteous. Well let’s clear that up right here, what is right cannot be what is wrong, so you feel correct. Read that again if you need to. Justice is not served by you and your judgments. In fact, you only know what is revealed to you, you have no idea what the other side is…even if you think you do or that you have concluded that it was intended the hurtful way you have perceived and there couldn’t possibly be any error in that. Hide it all you want, call it all you want, at the end of the day you are rebelling. In fact, you’re not hiding it at all…others see it. Further, did you know offense is when you do something in error that steers others away from the Father? You’re responsible for your own actions, choices, and how your fruit that all see. You’re responsible for the words that exit your mouth and even the actions that can align, but in this case usually are contrary to what is being spoken. That is why our lives preach, our actions demonstrate. Fruits of the Spirit versus fruits of the flesh. How to overcome it? Repent now. Repentance means to not ever return to it. Burn it down so you cannot. Permanently change that action.
“For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king.” 1 Samuel 15:23.
“Frowardness [is] in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.” Proverbs 6:14.
“But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.” 1 Corinthians 8:12-13.
“But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” Matthew 16:23.
“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.” James 2:10.
“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.” Matthew 5:23-24
“Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred” Job 6:24.
“If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame.” Hebrews 6:6.
“As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him. Howbeit [there is] not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat [it] as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.” 1 Corinthians 8:4-13.
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:19-26.
“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses” Mark 11:25-26.
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, [who is] our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new [man], which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond [nor] free: but Christ [is] all, and in all. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye. And above all these things [put on] charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him” Colossians 3:1-17.
